Leopard
The leopard (Panthera pardus) is a versatile and elusive predator found across Africa and parts of Asia. Known for its spotted coat, the leopard is a master of stealth and adaptability, thriving in diverse habitats such as savannas, rainforests, and even urban areas.
Leopards are solitary hunters, preying on a wide variety of animals, from small rodents to antelopes. They are famous for their ability to drag heavy prey into trees to protect it from scavengers. Their remarkable climbing skills and powerful jaws make them one of the most efficient hunters in the wild.
Despite their adaptability, leopards face threats from habitat loss, human encroachment, and poaching. Conservation programs aim to protect their habitats and reduce conflicts with humans.
