Seagull
Seagulls are ubiquitous coastal birds found near oceans, rivers, and even urban areas. These adaptable birds are known for their intelligence, social behavior, and scavenging habits, which allow them to thrive in diverse environments.
Seagulls have strong, streamlined bodies and long wings that enable them to glide effortlessly over water and land. Their sharp beaks and versatile diet, which includes fish, insects, and even human food, make them successful survivors in both natural and urban settings.
Gulls are highly social, forming large colonies during the breeding season. They are excellent parents, often fiercely protective of their chicks. Their loud calls and coordinated group behaviors are key to their survival and communication.
However, seagulls face threats from pollution, habitat destruction, and overfishing, which reduces their natural food sources. Conservation efforts aim to protect coastal environments and ensure that seagulls remain a vital part of marine and urban ecosystems.
