Brown Bear

The brown bear (Ursus arctos) is one of the largest and most widely distributed bear species, inhabiting forests and mountains across North America, Europe, and Asia. With its thick fur and powerful build, the brown bear is well-adapted to diverse climates, from Arctic tundras to temperate forests.

Brown bears are omnivorous, feeding on plants, berries, fish, and small mammals. They are solitary animals, except during mating season or when a mother raises her cubs. Hibernation is a significant part of their life cycle, allowing them to survive harsh winters.

Despite their resilience, brown bears face threats from habitat destruction and hunting. Conservation programs have helped stabilize populations in some regions, but their long-term survival depends on preserving their habitats.
